StenCoat® 2EP 217G is a two-component, epoxy-based, thixotropic floor paint. It shares the chemical resistance of 2EP 210G — weak acids and bases, detergents, disinfectants, hydraulic oils, many solvents and fuels — but parts company with it on one point: its textured finish creates a floor with high slip resistance. Where the requirement is a surface that a foot or a wheel can hold rather than a smooth decorative one, this is the product to reach for.
The G in the product code marks application at lower ambient temperatures (down to 10 °C) and a longer working time than the standard type.
Areas of Use
StenCoat® 2EP 217G is used on concrete surfaces to improve slip, abrasion and chemical resistance. It suits ramps, car parks, garages and warehouses on industrial floors, where a high-roughness, high-grip and safe floor is wanted. It can be applied on its own as an economical coating on concrete floors, or as a topcoat over StenCoat® floor coating systems.
It reduces dusting, wetting and water penetration, and increases the surface’s resistance to soiling and oxidation. It covers the cracks, defects and joints in the floor. Coated surfaces are easy to clean, dry quickly and do not generate dust, and the coating retains its color and abrasion resistance for a long time.
