StenMix® QUICK SCA-3 is an alkali-free, ready-to-use set accelerator based on aluminum sulfate. It can be used for the set acceleration of all cement concretes and is particularly suited to shotcrete applications. It can be used with both dry-mix and wet-mix and increases early strength considerably without compromising ultimate strength.
Areas of Use
StenMix® QUICK SCA-3 can be used wherever accelerated setting, hardening and strength gain of concrete are required. It is mainly used in wet-mix shotcrete applications where substantially reduced hydration times are needed.
It is applied with shotcrete for the rapid execution of tunnel lining, ground consolidation, slope and embankment stabilization and surface repairs. It suits concrete formulations that deliver low cracking and high strength gain within the first 24 hours. It is suitable for cold weather use.
