StenMix® ANTIFREEZE is a concrete admixture that protects freshly placed concrete against freezing in cold weather and, by accelerating setting, enables high-quality concrete placement at low temperatures. It contains no chlorides or similar corrosive substances and conforms to EN 934-2 Table 7 and ASTM C 494 Type C.

StenMix® ANTIFREEZE protects freshly placed concrete from freezing in concrete, plaster and injection works carried out in cold weather with a risk of frost.
By shortening setting time it counters the adverse effect of low temperatures and allows concrete to be placed safely below freezing point. Because it drives the concrete quickly past the 5 MPa strength threshold required to prevent frost damage, it does not cause corrosion of steel reinforcement and is safe for use in reinforced concrete.
