StenSeal® 2PT 211 is a two-component, cold-applied, chemically curing, non-sagging, polyurethane-based, coal-tar-modified, elastomeric joint sealant. Designed for sloped, vertical, and overhead inverted joints, it does not sag during application. It offers high abrasion resistance and adhesion strength, is unaffected by jet fuels, hydraulic fluids, and oils, is completely resistant to UV radiation, and withstands dynamic movement. It is classified as Type M, Grade NS, Class 25, Use T according to ASTM C 920, and its compliance with EN 14188-2 has been certified by TSE.
Areas of Use
StenSeal® 2PT 211 is particularly suited to sloped, vertical, and overhead inverted joints. It is used for the non-horizontal joints of facilities such as airports, refineries, and chemical plants, where petroleum-based fuels and oils, antifreeze, and battery acid are frequently encountered. It provides effective adhesion to both faces of joints between dissimilar or similar surfaces. It is used in curtain walls, expansion and control joints, sloped walls, precast panels, prefabricated structures, around the penetrations of installation pipes, stairs and sloped exits, channel and concrete pipe connections, and the connections of precast concrete structural elements.
