StenCoat® 2PTM 212 is a coal-tar-modified, polyurethane-based, two-component, solvent-free, elastic waterproofing membrane. It is an economical and long-lasting solution for a seamless and waterproof coating on non-traffic-bearing surfaces or between deck layers. Thanks to its high elasticity and crack-bridging ability, it resists the cracks and movements that may occur on the substrate over time. It is resistant to salty water and chemically contaminated water, does not undergo hydrolysis, does not peel from the surface, and does not allow microbiological formations on the surface it coats. StenCoat® 2PTM 212 complies with the ASTM C 836 waterproofing membrane standard. It is not suitable for contact with drinking water.
Areas of Use
StenCoat® 2PTM 212 is used in places such as terraces and roof areas, foundation and retaining walls, municipal infrastructures, industrial facilities, water works, dams, wastewater treatment facilities, motorway culverts and water canals, and in below-grade foundation waterproofing of all kinds of construction. It prevents root penetration in applications such as garden terraces and can be used safely at flower beds and rooftop gardens. Since it contains coal tar, it must not be used indoors or in direct contact with drinking or service water.
